Stephen Strasburg threw 107 pitches total, striking out eight in what ended up a 4-0 Nationals’ loss to the Dodgers in LA.

Strasburg fans 10 in tough loss to Dodgers
(22. 4. 2018, 07:14:27, mlb.com)
Nationals righty Stephen Strasburg lost Saturday despite limiting the Dodgers to two runs on five hits (two homers) and two walks with 10 strikeouts through seven strong innings.
Spin: Strasburg allowed a pair of solo taters in an otherwise terrific start, but unfortunately for him, the Nationals' offense could muster only two hits against Hyun-jin Ryu and the Dodgers' bullpen. Homers have never been an issue for Strasburg to this point in his career, as he's never even allowed an average of one per nine innings pitched in a full season. However, he's now been tagged for eight big flies in just 33 2/3 innings. His velocity, ground-ball rate and K/BB numbers are all still strong, so there's not too much cause for concern, but his home-run rate will be worth monitoring in the coming weeks. His next outing is set for April 27 when the Nats host the D-backs. (více...)
Strasburg gives up four runs in no-decision
(16. 4. 2018, 02:07:17, mlb.com)
Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg at the no-decision on Sunday after giving up four runs on four hits (one homer) and one walk with five strikeouts in six innings against the Rockies.
Spin: Strasburg (2-1, 3.08 ERA) retired the game’s first 11 batters he faced before surrendering a solo homer to Charlie Blackmon in the fourth inning. He set down the next five hitters in order before giving up an infield single with one out in the sixth, which opened the floodgates to a three-run inning. Strasburg has 26 strikeouts and six walks in 26 1/3 innings so far in 2018. His next start is scheduled for April 21 on the road against the Dodgers. (více...)
