Nimmo (neck) won't perform any baseball activities for the next month, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Nimmo has been on the injured list for nearly a month due to a bulging disk in his neck. He had been on a rehab stint for a week before being shut down again as the problem persisted. He'll now rest for at least another month and won't be resuming activity until after the All-Star break. If things go smoothly for him at that point, he could still play a significant role over the final two months of the season, though it's tough to be confident about any particularly return date given the rocky nature of his season so far.(více...)

Nimmo visited specialist Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles on Monday for a second opinion about his bulging cervical disc and apparently received some rather discouraging news. This injury dates back to April, and he's been on the IL since May 22. We wouldn't expect to see him back in a Mets uniform before early-to-mid August.(více...)

Nimmo was pulled off his rehab assignment over the weekend due to continued issues with a bulging disc in his neck. It's worth noting that this is the same specialist David Wright saw with his back and neck issues, but it's much too soon to speculate about the severity of Nimmo's issue.
