Angels righty Garrett Richards lost after allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits (one homer) and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Spin: An error proved costly for Los Angeles in the first inning, resulting in four unearned runs during a five-run frame. Richards recovered to complete the fifth, but by then he had already thrown 92 pitches (58 strikes).
